Fifty Fathoms needs no introduction. It first rose to fame as a top-tier replica back in the N Factory era. Over time, ZF Factory has rolled out a full lineup of Fifty Fathoms models, outperforming N Factory in many specifications. Today we are introducing the new titanium-cased blue open-case-back version of the Fifty Fathoms.

First, here are two photos taken under natural sunlight. You can see the fan-shaped light reflection on the dial. The blue tone is subdued and differs from the old N Factory Fifty Fathoms, as they are different model references. These natural-light shots were captured using a mobile phone.

The movement uses an added bridge design to replicate the original. The color of the ruby jewels has been re-calibrated for a color temperature closer to the genuine piece. The exhibition case back features brushed finishing to match the texture of the original watch as much as possible.

The rotor is crafted from higher-density steel to increase its weight and boost winding efficiency. Many modified movements with added bridges on the market suffer from poor winding performance. ZF Factory elevates the overall watch quality through refined detail work.

The entire watch is made of titanium alloy. It is one-fifth lighter than the stainless steel Fifty Fathoms. Titanium carries a greyish hue with more matte finish and a sportier look compared to stainless steel. Many blue dial versions available on the market adopt titanium for the case.

The crown features fine craftsmanship on detailed areas, with no minor blemishes visible.

One corner of the case back bears the material marking. Many small manufacturers’ Fifty Fathoms lack this stamp at this location, while major factories generally pay close attention to fine detailing.

The strap features nylon on the outer surface and high-quality matte rubber on the reverse side. It delivers a comfortable wearing feel, dries quickly after contact with water, making it an excellent companion for diving.

The strap retaining screws adopt a special design and cannot be opened with ordinary screwdrivers. The shape of these strap screws is 100% identical to that of the original watch.

The picture below shows the special tool provided by the manufacturer. Please keep this tool safe; each watch comes with one set. Additionally, the manufacturer offers a thoughtful extra: two spare spring bar screws are included.

The diving bezel is a high-cost component crafted from sapphire crystal. It delivers a visual effect similar to a cyclops lens. Its advantage is strong scratch resistance; the downside is that the diving bezel must be handled carefully, as a replacement costs several hundred dollars.

The luminous performance of this watch is outstanding. All diving scales are fully luminescent; it is so bright that it can almost serve as a flashlight in complete darkness.

There are no flaws on the dial, as ZF is an established replica watch manufacturer. All crystal components of the watch are made of sapphire crystal. The relatively thick, arched crystal is engineered to withstand greater underwater pressure, identical to the original.

Here are a few indoor photos to wrap up this introduction. Buying advice: First of all, its replication quality is beyond doubt. Whether to purchase it simply comes down to whether you like its appearance. If you are a diving enthusiast, this watch will be a great piece to elevate your style, a diver’s watch capable of deep diving just like the original.
