We have covered the basic specifications of the Deepsea above. The upgrades will be illustrated with photos and text below. The most significant upgrade lies in the clasp. The old V6 Deepsea had a common flaw: the fine adjustment mechanism shown in the picture tended to loosen easily. It may unhook accidentally during wear and cause the bracelet to come apart. N Factory fixed this issue on the V7 version by increasing spring tension.
Opening the fine adjuster from the middle of the clasp is a signature feature of the Deepsea. Many lower-grade manufacturers omit this mechanism. Therefore, you can identify an N Factory Deepsea by checking whether this adjustment device is present.

Besides reinforcing the sturdiness of the fine adjustment mechanism, I believe the metal finishing has also been improved. It no longer has the rough, burr-like texture found on the older version.

The Rolex marking inside the clasp was sandblasted on the older version, and now it has been changed to polished finish. Official Submariner models across the board were upgraded at boutiques at the end of 2015, and the V7 version follows this update accordingly.

Details on several metal components have also been improved, though the difference is not obvious without a side-by-side comparison.

The silver pigment tone on the ceramic bezel insert has been revised, so it is not as silvery as that of the V6 version.

Let’s talk about the QR code on the side of the watch. It is a sticker! A sticker! A sticker! Important point worth repeating three times. When we test watches, we sometimes peel it off and forget to reapply it. So we suggest you not fixate too much on this trivial detail. Thanks.
