AP has unveiled a new model. The latest release brings upgrades to the quick-release system, clasp and more. As the newly launched model in the Royal Oak lineup, the 15720 inherits the series’ iconic features. It also comes with one-touch quick-release straps and quick-release clasps — a convenient mechanism notoriously hard to replicate.
IP Factory repeatedly remade molds and ran numerous trials to match the quick-release function of the genuine watch. The strap can be detached and reinstalled with one press, fully interchangeable with original components.
The end links connecting the case to the strap are among the most challenging parts. IP Factory disassembled genuine end links to study their internal structure, recreating the identical mechanism. It enables smooth one-touch removal and installation without lag or looseness.
This is Audemars Piguet’s first quick-release clasp, allowing simple strap and clasp swaps to fit different needs. Multiple mold iterations by IP Factory ensure the clasp fits with the precise tension of the original, neither too tight nor loose.
The watch features a stainless steel case, anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both dial and caseback, and a black ceramic screw-down crown. All dimensions and materials are scanned and benchmarked against the genuine timepiece.
Powered by a modified 9015 movement built to mimic the Calibre 4308 automatic caliber. This robust movement delivers long power reserve and stable timekeeping for reliable daily use. Exclusive high-end finishing on the movement bridges creates a three-dimensional look, paired with a custom rotor color matching the original.
Humanized flexible end links with shock cushioning replicate the genuine design. IP Factory invested heavily to implement this buffer function alongside the quick-release structure.
The dial is engraved with the Grande Tapisserie large tapisserie pattern, fitted with luminous applied hour markers and Royal Oak hands. It has a rotating black inner bezel with an 0–15 minute beige zone. Imported luminous paint offers long-lasting luminescence with complete inner markings. The date window uses a magnifier identical to the original with excellent light transmission.
The rubber strap is molded from genuine AP rubber straps using imported rubber material. Its grain texture and quality match the original for a premium feel.
IP Factory supplies the watch with an integrated clear protective case identical to the genuine version, safeguarding the watch while not in use — a feature unmatched by other factories. Multiple dial color options are available. The following introduction uses the green dial variant as an example.

IP Factory features a black ceramic screw-down crown identical to that of the genuine watch. The crown core is crafted from 316 stainless steel. Compared with older Royal Oak models, the case has revised curves and cut surfaces for a more imposing look. IP Factory replicates the case using the exact dimensions of the original watch case.

Creating this sophisticated seamless release mechanism within such compact end link components required tremendous engineering effort from IP Factory.
IP Factory created multiple molds based on the latest genuine rubber strap to achieve perfect replication. This imported rubber strap matches the original in grain texture, granular detail and overall quality. It is odor-free, dust-resistant and boasts a premium feel.
The quick-release slide mechanism concealed inside the strap had flaws in earlier mold iterations: either too tight for easy removal, or overly loose, creating excessive gaps at the clasp joint. After repeated mold revisions, it now delivers the precise tension of the genuine part, neither too tight nor loose.
