Preface: Let’s start with the watch dimensions: 32.7 mm × 32.7 mm. As the figures suggest, this is a square‑shaped timepiece. Despite its compact measurements, the square silhouette keeps it from looking undersized on the wrist. The manufacturer positions it as a unisex model leaning toward female buyers. It is a great option for ladies who prefer large‑dial square watches. As a man with relatively slim wrists, I have added this piece to my collection, and it looks fantastic when paired with formal attire.

The picture below shows the wearing effect on a man’s wrist. The case features a curved design for enhanced comfort and a snug fit against the wrist. Despite its square shape, the dial does not come across as undersized. For women, it can also serve as a fashion‑oriented dress‑watch accessory.

By comparing the red reference lines, you can see that the overall case dimensions are perfectly identical, as are the dial fonts. During the mould‑making process for the genuine‑based replica, the screw at the upper lug, as indicated by the arrow, was omitted.

Just like the genuine piece, the GF factory creates a downward slope on the lower portion of the dial, forming a trapezoidal profile when viewed from the side. This requires bending the dial surface, which raises the scrap rate of dials to a certain extent.

The knurled gear‑shaped grooves on the side of the crown and the length of the winding stem are perfectly identical.

Viewed from the side, the GF‑factory case features an identical arch‑shaped profile to the genuine watch with exactly the same thickness. It is fitted with a curved sapphire crystal.

When comparing the cases, we noticed flaws on the cut surface between the upper lugs. The transition between this cut surface and the case’s curved surface lacks smooth finishing. The inset image at the bottom‑left offers a clearer view of this imperfection on the genuine case. Such a blemish is really disappointing given its high price point!

The case‑back fits tightly with seamless closure. It features a brushed finish identical to the genuine model. The engravings on the case‑back carry a lustrous appearance, and the font matches that of the original watch. Since the genuine watch is somewhat aged, dirt has accumulated inside its engraved markings.

Opening the case‑back brings an even bigger surprise. Though this is a solid‑case‑back quartz watch with its movement hidden from view, it replicates the same base‑plate layout as the genuine piece. The base‑plate is beautifully finished with Geneva stripes and bears the gold‑toned “FM” logo engraved upon it. Achieving such fine craftsmanship for a closed‑back model demonstrates the great attention to detail from the GF factory.

GF adopts exactly the same Swiss Ronda quartz movement as the genuine watch. This Ronda movement is fitted with ruby bearings and marked “SWISS R9”. It reflects GF factory’s sincere approach, rejecting shoddy workmanship.

The clasp matches the original perfectly in size, engravings and rear‑side logo pattern.
