Rolex is well‑known for over‑engineering its timepieces. For instance, while many manufacturers such as Patek Philippe use 316L steel, Rolex stands apart by utilizing 904L steel.

During development, Clean Factory selected identical Grade‑5 titanium, whose grade can be verified via a spectrometer and distinguished visually by its colour tone. Enthusiasts may research further information on this subject.

Even though the Yacht‑Master is not among the most popular models, Clean Factory has strived to faithfully recreate the craftsmanship of Grade‑5 titanium, demonstrating its serious‑minded approach to watch‑making.

The slight 3‑gram difference is reduced to roughly 2 g once the protective film on the Clean bracelet is removed.
