The black edge of the case is made of PEEK resin (polyetheretherketone). PEEK resin is essentially high-temperature resistant plastic. The case is coated with baking paint and wrapped in resin to ensure rigidity.
The blue section of the watch bezel is crafted from aluminum-magnesium alloy. The biggest advantage of this material is its high hardness and light weight; it is even lighter than titanium of the same volume.
First, let’s look at the dial. The painted dial uses Motorlac high-gloss lacquer, a type of baked enamel. The dial painting technique is similar to the coating used on mobile phones. There is no color difference between the GF dial and the genuine one, and the sand-blasted finish is excellent. Achieving this level of three-dimensional effect without access to the genuine formula is quite an accomplishment.
Upon magnification, both the hands and metal numerals feature the same brushed finish as the original watch. The printed white numerals are neat with uniform ink coverage, delivering outstanding depth and layering. This view is captured at more than ten times magnification.
The movement is the well-known Citizen 9015. Why choose this movement? Its biggest strengths are its slim profile and reliable performance. Since the watch case is around 9 mm thick, there are virtually no other viable options besides this ultra-thin movement.
The rotor adopts the Bvlgari-style design. Given the watch’s ultra-slim construction, there is limited internal space. Consequently, the fitted rotor is also very thin, leaving minimal clearance between it and the movement bridges.
This creates a potential assembly risk: the rotor may make contact with the case back or bridges during winding, resulting in abnormal noise while worn. The dissected sample shown here exhibits this assembly issue. For this reason, we pay special attention to this problem before shipment. If abnormal noise occurs, the watch must be disassembled to adjust the gaps between the rotor and other metal components.
The light transmittance of the sapphire crystal is visually estimated to exceed 99%. The photo below was taken through the watch crystal, capturing the dial.
The black component on the top of the watch head is made of ceramic. GF Factory matches the genuine piece in both materials and overall shape, leaving no small details overlooked.
The strap is made of black vulcanized rubber. The replica strap boasts fine craftsmanship in terms of strap width and hole dimensions, nearly identical to the genuine version. It delivers exceptional wearing comfort. If you have worn a high-quality rubber strap before, I believe you will no longer prefer metal bracelets.
The pin buckle is engraved with the “BVLGARI” logo. The buckle size is reproduced in a 1:1 scale, making it hard to distinguish from the genuine one. It can also be interchanged with the original buckle without issues.
